Full of character, with oak beams, original panelling and log fires, the farmhouse offers Bed and Breakfast accommodation in three warm, spotless bedrooms. Sue and Eric Taylforth also run Side House, where charming self-catering accommodation is offered in two very well equipped cottages in the farmhouse (three bedrooms each) and the adjacent former dairy (two bedrooms). Millbeck Farm is a noted supplier of Herdwick lamb and Angus beef.

Owned by the National Trust, Robinson Place Farm is a traditional Lakeland Hill farm situated in the heart of the beautiful Langdale Valley.

The farm was built around the 17th century and runs a stock of 1300 Herdwick fell sheep and some cattle.

The farmhouse offers comfortable accommodation with a specious lounge and dining room, both with open fires.

All bedrooms have wash basins (with towels and soap provided) and central heating.

There is a well equipped bathroom with shower.

Afternoon and evening tea making facilities are available inclusive.
Reduced rates for children sharing parents ’ room. Cot available.

Dramatic fells form the backdrop to our Lakeland sheep farm. Four cottages have been converted from traditional stone barns and offer spacious accommodation with a warm, friendly atmosphere. The surround fields are home to our Herdwick and Cheviot sheep, Angora goats, ducks and hens.

You will be welcome to help feed the animals and to see the farm at work. A private farm trail is provided to help you to explore the beautiful setting with its woodlands, streams, abundant wildlife and spectacular views.

All four cottages are furnished and equipped to a high standard and have full central heating. Each bathroom ahs a bath with shower unit, WC and basin. All visitors have access to a one acre paddock with sitting out area and barbeque, and to our private farm trail. There are shared laundry facilities and payphone. Private water supply. Ample car parking is available. Sorry, but we do not accept pets.
